Thurmont is a small community located at the foot of Catoctin Mountain in North Central Maryland. Over the past 70 years we have played host to thirteen Presidents, their families and guests as they visit the Presidential Retreat known as Camp David. As the closest community to Camp David we have shared in the many historic events that have taken place in our midsts and in the personal memories of the many world leaders we have welcomed to our community.
